UAE stock markets close Thursday in red

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) lost 37.86 points (0.92%) on Thursday and ended the trading session lower at 4,052.78 points.

DFM’s turnover amounted to AED 304.84 million through the exchange of 106.26 million shares.

Emaar Properties registered the highest turnover of AED 70.53 million, whereas Deyaar Development was the most active stock with 11.02 million shares.

National International Holding led the risers with 13.28%, while Ithmaar Holding led the falling companies with 3.22%.

Likewise, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged down by 0.05% at 9,719.37 points.

A total of 260.20 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 1.15 billion, whereas the market cap value reached AED 2.96 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) witnessed the highest turnover of AED 214.57 million, while Emirates Steel Arkan dominated the trading volume with 25.37 million shares.

Al Wathba National Insurance Company topped the gainers with 14.86%, whereas Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials headed the losers with 3.70%.
